Almost Here!

A little over a week, and I’ll be able to show you some of what I’ve worked on for my first grandchild.  The baby is almost here!  I sent a few things ahead of me for the baby shower that’s being held the middle of this month.  I won’t be able to attend, but wanted to be there in a fiber sense.  :o)  I can’t wait to show you what I’ve finished for the baby!

In the meantime, I’ve worked on a few other projects.  I’m on my second of a pair of generic toe-up socks.  It stalled for a while, but I’m past the heel and only a few inches from being done.

I really want my next pair of socks to be my own design I’ve had in the wings for a while but I can’t seem to concentrate on anything much more than baby knitting!

I’ve also made some progress on the first sleeve of my Steampunk Pullover:

And finally, you remember the little baby dress for a co-worker’s daughter that looked like this a few posts ago?

Once I got to the yoke, I hated it.  Absolutely hated it.  So I pulled it all back to the seed stitch hem and did this instead:

The Emma Tunic

Now I’m just looking for the perfect button so I can finish the yoke.  I’ve scoured Etsy and haven’t found just the right one.  Maybe the local fabric shop will have something that inspires me.

What’s inspiring YOU right now?

Lisa

PS - I've started another blog (I know!  Crazy, right?) and you can find it at www.thepincidentalfoodie.com.  I started a separate blog for my food adventures.  Give it a visit if you want!

  1. Oh, you must be nearly bursting with excitement! I'm sure that the new baby will have no shortage of woollies!
