Now that I’ve finished most (but not all) of the knitting I planned to do for others for Christmas (yes, I’m THAT behind), I’ve decided to go on sort of a selfish knitting kick and make some things for myself that I’ve had my eye on. I’ve already been on a sock kick and I just finished a pair of Hermione’s Everyday Socks in Knit Picks Stroll Glimmer, color Peacock. xoxoxo

I'm sorry you caught the crud, and also that your weekend weather has been so awful. I have one Hermione sock. Since I have two feet I really need to finish the second one. I like yours in the sparkly yarn. I had a look at Wyeth over on Ravelry. It's a great sweater! I wonder how I missed that one? And Cascade 220 is the perfect workhorse yarn. I hope your headache has gone away, and that today the skies clear up. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kristie! My goal for my next blog post is that there will be nothing unfortunate to report! By the way, I loved your daughter's thoughtful post on adoption.
ReplyDeleteYour socks came out lovely! And I can't wait to see your Wyeth. I knit mine over Christmas break and I absolutely love it. It was a really fun pattern to work on. Happy knitting.
ReplyDeleteOoooohhhh, Brandy, are you on Ravelry? I'm knit-whimsy on Rav, look me up! I'd love to see your Wyeth!
DeleteYour socks look lovely, I love a bit of sparkly yarn and knitting some sparkly socks at the moment, SO yummy!
ReplyDeleteYay for sparkles! Can't wait to see yours!
DeleteCascade 220 is nice. And after you block it (with a little Soak) it becomes even better. It will soften right up!
ReplyDeleteI need me some Soak!
DeleteThat was Deanne posting as The French Knot, btw :)
ReplyDeleteOH, no. I'm sorry to hear you got stuck with the funk. I hope your weekend helped to persuade any remaining germs to scram.
ReplyDeleteGerms have been banished from the house! Speaking of house, how are the new digs? :-)
DeletePretty socks! But I don't know how you walk around you all-hard-floors house without falling. Although, I'd willingly be on my butt (either from falling or to avoid falling) just so I could wear something so pretty as those socks.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see how your Wyeth turns out! That color makes me think of a perfect Cuban cafe au lait.
How fitting that my color choice testifies to my rampant coffee addiction. Coincidence? I think not!
DeleteI see a pair of socks in your future, but how soon is still hazy...(gazes with intense concentration into crystal ball)
Hope you feel better!
